Nigerian motorists have no excuses to run a red light after IGP’s convoy was spotted obeying the traffic light sign.
The IGP’s heavily-guided motorcade consisted of police motorcycle outriders, luxury SUVs and pickup trucks.
Footage shared to enlighten the public that motorists have no excuses to run a red light if the police boss could stop to obey it.
Running red lights endangers the lives of other motorists/car occupants as well as that of other road users like pedestrians.

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has shown that it doesn’t only enforces the laws but also abides by it after the convoy of the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, was seen obeying the traffic light signs in a video shared online.
In the footage shared, the IGP’s heavily-guided motorcade, likely enroute to an official duty, can be seen making a stop after the signal light turned red. The IGP’s convoy consisted of police motorcycle outriders, luxury SUVs and pickup trucks.

The video was likely captured and shared by the officials of the Nigerian Police Force to let Nigerian motorists know that they have no excuses to run a red light if the police boss could stop to obey the traffic light.
Drivers run red lights because they are in a hurry or feeling impatient, a punishable offence that endangers the lives of other motorists and their occupants as well as that of other road users like pedestrians.
