“The L90 redefines the family-oriented three-row electric SUV by tackling two major user pain points: charging anxiety and space anxiety,” NIO said in a statement.

NIO said the test drives for the Onvo L90 SUV officially began on July 23, adding that nearly 600 test drive cars are now available at over 400 ONVO stores and showrooms in 140 cities in China.

“This 800,000 production milestone starts a new chapter for NIO. One step at a time, it is steadily advancing toward its next milestone: one million vehicles,” NIO adds.

Starting at 279,900 yuan (38,980 USD), the Onvo L90 uses a battery-pack with a capacity of 85 kWh, which allows a range between 570km (354 miles) and 605km (376 miles) under CLTC conditions.

The production milestone comes nearly two months after the company delivered the 700,000th car on May 11 2025 and 9-months after the 600,000th mass-produced NIO car was handed over to a client on October 11 last year.
