Nissan Sold 1.5 Million Vehicles Between April And September
Nissan sold 1,535,996 vehicles (-3.1%) between April and September and 278,157 units (-3.6%) in September.
Sales outside home country of Japan between April and September reached 1,350,390 units (-0.9).
In the U.S and Chinese market, sales in Q2-Q3 2025 reached 444,818 units (-0.9) and 335,803 units (+1.8) respectively.
Japanese brand, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. delivered 1,535,996 vehicles between April and September of 2025 (-3.1% vs Q2-Q3 2024), closing out September with a sales decline of 3.6% with deliveries of 278,157 vehicles versus from a year earlier.
Sales outside home country of Japan between April and September reached 1,350,390 units (-0.9), led by the U.S and Chinese market with 444,818 units (-0.9) and 335,803 units (+1.8) respectively.
Between April and September, global production reached 1,442,799 vehicles (-5.3%), including 1,175,459 vehicles (-3.3%) outside Japan. Global production in September reached 270,933 vehicles (+0.5%), including 222,957 units (+5.6%) outside Japan.
Nissan had earlier announced plans to reduce its global production capacity from 3.5 million units (excluding China) to 2.5 million units, as part of its global production restructuring under the Re : Nissan recovery plan.
In an earlier release, Nissan announced it will transition all vehicle production in Mexico to Aguascalientes complex during fiscal year 2025 (ending March 2026), ceasing operations at the CIVAC Plant in Morelos.

Throughout this transition, we remain deeply appreciative of the invaluable contributions made by our collaborators at the CIVAC Plant,” said Nissan CEO, Ivan Espinosa.
