He said the vehicles will support them to deliver their responsibilities diligently and to the best of their abilities.

This gesture comes days after Zamfara State governor gifted vehicles to Emirs and Senior District Heads across the State.

The Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Mohammed, has presented 58 brand new official vehicles to the Local Government Chairmen and District Heads across the State.

At the distribution exercise held at Ramat House Bauchi, Bala said the move was in response to the request made by the Emir of Bauchi on the need for the Governor to assist the traditional rulers with officials vehicles.

During the presentation, 38 cars were handed out to the district heads across the six emirates of the state while the 20 local government chairmen got one each.

The Ministry of Local Government Affairs also got two Toyota Hilux Pickup trucks while local government area offices received six (6) Toyota Hilux.

In a statement, Bala said that the “official vehicles were presented to the beneficiaries to support them to deliver their responsibilities diligently and to the best of their abilities.”

“At the event, I also appealed to the District Heads to assist the state in promoting the ongoing enrollment drive and maintenance of security, among others—for the State’s rapid development.”

This gesture comes few days after Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawalle, gifted Cadillac Escalade SUVs to seventeen (17) Emirs as well as Hyundai Sonata sedans to 13 Senior District Heads and 230 District Heads across the State.

The distribution of the car gifts was done by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, at Government House, Gusau, last week Wednesday.
