Automotive group Stellantis has announced that it currently has no plans to expand its partnerships with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Tata Motors to the European market.

The director of Stellantis for Europe, Emanuel Capellano, said that the joint projects in cooperation with the companies JLR in the United States and Tata Motors in India are not planned to expand to Europe, reports Reuters.

He stated that the company could consider such a possibility if a specific market or production opportunity arises, but that it is not currently a priority. Analysts previously estimated that the partnerships could help Stellantis in Europe, where the company is considering technology solutions for future models of larger vehicles.

Capellano also said that the company is studying the possibility of selling a smaller Jeep model in Europe, which would be produced in China in cooperation with the Dongfeng company.

Just a reminder that Stellantis and Dongfeng signed a $1.2 billion production deal this month.
