They can also access their cars 365 days a year – from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

SHY Automotive has opened a new high-security and cutting-edge luxury car storage facility in UK where the mega rich can store some of their greatest supercars and classic motors.
This ultimate 50,000 sq.ft bunker, which can hold up to 600 classic cars and supercars at a time, is strategically positioned in the heart of West Sussex – just 15 minutes south of Gatwick Airport and 20 minutes south of the M25.

In addition to being safeguarded with finger print recognition, the car storage facility also boast up to 40 CCTV cameras plus an on-site security guards, who patrol the venue at all hours to guarantee around-the-clock protection.
Each car gets a dedicated metal 2.2 by 4.8 metre tamper-proof bed with a fluid monitoring drip tray, battery conditioning power supply, and ratchet strap tethering, to keep the vehicle tightly in place.

To protect each motor from any unwanted fire outbreaks, each car has a dedicated dual heat-activated sprinkler system that is hooked up to a 90,000L reserve water tank on site.
Speaking of where the idea for SHY automotive come from, Daniel Wood, the co-founder of the company, said :
““There are millions of pounds worth of cars stored poorly in this country and after a visit to a sub-standard facility for a vehicle that required a high level of insurance, it was clear the need for something newer, better and more secure was paramount. Classic car storage needed to change, quickly, and that was just the tip of the iceberg.

“Many facilities we visited and assessed did not have some of the technologies that we’ve implemented at Shy Automotive. None of them had fire suppression systems, most of them involve moving at least one if not multiple cars before the subject car can be released and almost all our competitors lack a reliable, low-risk power supply for battery conditioning.”
According to the firm, client willing to use the facility will pay £5,200 for a year if they sign up for a year (about £100 a week per car). Clients can also access the cars 365 days a year – from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
