FAAN Suspends Airport officials For Extorting Money From Passengers
According to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), certain staff have been suspended for allegedly extorting a passenger at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport. FAAN’s General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, announced this in a statement released on Saturday in Lagos. The action, according to Yakubu, was in keeping with management’s desire to purge the nation’s airport of corrupt officials. She claimed that their accomplice’s Nigeria Immigration Service On Duty Card had been revoked.
