The first production model of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (2025) was sold at auction for $3.7 million, and the buyer was American businessman and car enthusiast Rick Hendrick.

Chevrolet has continued its tradition, and the first production Corvette ZR1 (2025) has been sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction. In fact, it is a car that has yet to be produced, but Hendrick has already secured it for himself. Given the fact that production has yet to begin, he will have the opportunity to choose the options he wants

Hendrick has a vast collection of Corvettes, both older and newer, with the chassis numbers of most ending in 001. He also bought the first production C8, as well as the first Z08, Z06 convertible, and Corvette E-Ray. Each of these cars cost more than $1 million, with the most expensive being the Z06 at $3.6 million. Hendrick’s latest pet car takes the title of most expensive, with a price tag of $3.7 million.

As already known, the ZR1 (2025) is the fastest and most powerful production Corvette in history. It takes 2.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, and GM President Mark Reuss has reached a top speed of 375 km/h.

The car was also tested at the Nürburgring, but official lap times have not been released. It is powered by the LT7 5.5-liter DOHC V8 twin-turbo engine, which delivers 1,064 hp and 1,123 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Chevrolet will not keep the money won but will donate it to the American Red Cross.
