Footage shared showed the moment Vladimir Putin went behind the wheel to offer his services as a chauffeur to Kim.

Their jaunt took place after the two world leaders had signed a deal that included a mutual defence pledge.

The Aurus Senat L700 Vladimir Putin and Kim rode in was gifted to the North Korean leader in February.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his host Kim Jong-un on Wednesday took turns to drive each other through the streets of Pyongyang in a Russian-built armored Aurus Senat L700 limousine.

The public relations opportunity was held amid tight security and it comes a just hours after Vladimir Putin arrived in Pyongyang on a state visit at the invitation of North Korean leader.

Footage shared showed the moment Vladimir Putin went behind the wheel of the armored Aurus Senat L700 limousine to offer his services as a chauffeur to Kim.

During the short trip, the Russian president was seen confidently weaving through the streets of Pyongyang with his host, Kim Jong Un, seated in the front passenger seat.

Their jaunt took place after the two leaders had signed a deal that included a mutual defence pledge, and hours after Putin was met with a reception fit for a king after his arrival in Pyongyang.

The Russian-made Aurus Senat L700 Putin and Kim rode in was gifted to the North Korean leader in February after the 40 year old leader liked the car during his visit to Russia last September.

The russian-made Aurus Senat limousine was delivered to Kim’s top aides by the Russian side on Sunday February 18th, according to North Korea’s official KCNA news agency.
