Russian President Vladimir Putin was met with a reception fit for a king following his arrival in North Korea’s capital city, Pyongyang, on Wednesday morning.

After being welcomed by North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un at the airport, Putin’s Aurus Senat L700 limousine was followed by a huge motorcade to Pyongyang’s main square, where thousands of adoring citizens were eagerly awaiting his arrival.

At the official welcoming ceremony at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un rode in an open-top Mercedes-Maybach S-Class limousine, owned by the North Korean leader.
