Zamfara Govt Stole My Cars, Seized Vehicles Were Donated By Well-wishers : Ex-gov Matawalle

Zamfara Govt robbed my houses, stole my cars, impounded vehicles were donated by well wishers, says Bello Matawalle.
Ex-governor says vehicles impounded at Maradun were donated to him by well-wishers and branded with his images.
Claims he had been a car seller even before he became a Governor, so he won’t ask them to bring the impounded cars back.
Friday’s raid to recover the alleged government’s stolen vehicles from Matawalle’s houses was confirmed by Zamfara Govt.
During the invasion, security agents recovered over 40 stolen government’s vehicles, including 3 bulletproof vehicles and 8 SUVs.
Bello Matawalle, the former governor of Zamfara State, has reacted to the invasion of his two houses in Gusau and Maradun on Friday, June 9 by security agents, where over 40 vehicles, including three (3) bulletproof vehicles and eight (8) SUVs were recovered.
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Matawalle accused the PDP-led Zamfara State government of robbing his houses and confiscating his personal belongings.
He said :
“I have never seen this kind of stupidity where someone’s house will just be entered without any permission as if we are in a lawless country.
“I am in Abuja and nobody told me that any court gave that order or invite me and I refused to answer. Instead of Dauda to face Zamfara problems, he wants to create another crisis because he knows I have my people and they will not fold their hands.
“In my Maradun house, they took away all campaign cars that people gave us as contributions, including those I bought in United States even before becoming governor, you know I was a car seller.
“I will not ask them to bring the cars back, everybody knows that I have cars. I have been a car seller even before I became a governor. This is robbery, they entered everywhere in my houses, even my daughter’s wedding clothing materials (Kayan Lefe) were not spared.
“The vehicles they impounded at Maradun were those donated to me by well-wishers and were all branded with my images and that of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. But surprisingly, they said that the vehicles belong to the state government. I have never seen the worst scenario like what happened in my residences last Friday.”
Recall that friday’s raid to recover the alleged government’s stolen vehicles from Matawalle’s houses was confirmed in a statement by Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the Zamfara Governor, Suleiman Idris.
