1,625-hp Sadair’s Spear achieved a blistering Racelogic-verified lap time despite a strict 90 dB noise limit on the day.

Sadair’s Spear is limited to just 30 units and despite a starting price of $5m, all examples was instantly sold upon its private unveiling.

Track-focused Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear fitted with a heavy muffler has set a new lap record for homologated production cars at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on November 4, 2025.

Piloted by Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh, the 1,625-horsepower Sadair’s Spear achieved a blistering racelogic-verified lap time of 1:24.16 despite a strict 90 dB noise limit on the day.

First unveiled in June, the limited-edition Jesko-based hypercar is designed to deliver an extraordinary combination of blistering track capability and full road legality.

“We knew that the Sadair’s Spear had the potential to beat the lap record. To achieve this feat with the added muffler behind the car shows the potential for even greater performance on a less noise-restricted day,” Christian von Koenigsegg commented on the record.

“That the everyday-usable and livable Sadair’s Spear — with Autoskin, electric seats, sound deadening, amplifiers, and more — can outperform stripped-out track cars is a true testament to the depth of engineering that goes into our creations. Powering Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear is the brand’s formidable twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers an output of 1,300-hp on regular unleaded fuel and up to 1,625-hp when running on eco-friendly ethanol-rich E85 fuel.

Koenigsegg limited Sadair’s Spear production to just 30 units and despite a reported purchase price north of $5 million, all examples was instantly sold upon its private unveiling.
