First-ever 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V Raises $500,000 At Auction, To Benefit College

First-ever 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V raises $500,000 at auction, to benefit Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design.
An additional $25,000 was donated to the cause by an unnamed patron for a grand total of $525,000.
The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is the brand’s first-ever Sports Utility Vehicle to wear the V-Series badge.
Price from $149,990, the 682-horsepower Cadillac Escalade-V is the brand’s most powerful SUV yet.
Back in May, General Motors (GM) luxury brand Cadillac introduced the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V – an ultimate high-performance version of its high-riding luxury full-size SUV.
Fitted with a tweaked version of the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine from the CT5-V Blackwing, the 682-horsepower Escalade-V, priced from $149,990, is Cadillac’s most powerful and most expensive SUV yet.
Now the very first example of 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V utility vehicle ever made has been sold for a record-breaking price of $500,000 at Barrett-Jackson’s latest auction in Las Vegas, United States.
All the proceeds from the auction will go to Pensole Lewis College (PLC) of Business & Design, which will help students to grow their skills through “intensive curriculums aimed at providing real-life experiences relevant to their disciplines”.
In addition, an unnamed patron donated $25,000 to the cause for a grand total of $525,000, with the full hammer price going to PLC as Barrett-Jackson waived all fees and commissions as they have done with all charity cars at their auctions.
“Cadillac champions big dreams and bold ambitions, and we are thrilled with this auction result,” said Global Cadillac Vice President Rory Harvey.
“We are grateful to Barrett-Jackson for providing a platform that will help make a difference for the next generation of creatives in Cadillac’s hometown of Detroit.”
Dr. Edwards, who reestablished the college, said :
“We are both grateful to Cadillac for its contribution toward diversifying the design industry and for providing support to the next generation of creative talent,”
In addition to the first 682-horsepower Escalade-V VIN 001, the winning bidder will have the opportunity to design a pair of custom sneakers with Dr. Edwards, that will be manufactured as a one-of-one run.
The winning bidder will also receive an exclusive signed and framed 12 x 18 inch design-studio theme sketch of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V by Robert Hunwick, the lead exterior designer for the Escalade-V.
The 2023 Escalade-V is the first-ever Cadillac SUV to wear the V-Series badge — an elevation of design, performance and technology and the purest expression of the passion that exists at the core of Cadillac.
