Rolls-Royce Motor Cars sold a record 6,021 motor cars last year driven by demand for Cullinan SUV and customization.
British luxury marque’s record sales is 8 per cent higher than the previous record of 5,586 vehicles sold back in 2021.
Last year, clients were willing to pay an average of around half a million dollars ($536k) to create their unique Rolls-Royce.
Middle East is marque’s leading region for Bespoke commissions, while the Americas remains the largest single region for Rolls‑Royce.
Pre-order bank for ultra-luxury Spectre electric Coupé has also exceeded the company’s most ambitious expectations.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars delivered a record 6,021 motor cars to clients in around 50 countries worldwide in 2022, which is 8 per cent higher than the previous record of 5,586 cars sold back in 2021.
For the first time in the company’s 118-year history, sales exceeded 6,000 in a single 12‑month period, thanks to demand for all Rolls‑Royce models and Bespoke commissions, whose value also reached record levels last year.
The almost endless possibilities for Bespoke personalisation resulted in clients being willing to pay an average of around half a million Euros ($536,000) for their unique Rolls-Royce car.
The Middle East is the marque’s leading region for Bespoke commissions in 2022, while the Americas, which saw significant growth last year, remains the largest single region for Rolls‑Royce.
The Cullinan SUV consolidated itself as the marque’s best-selling model in 2022, while the Ghost sedan was the best-selling model in the Asia-Pacific region. Demand for all current Rolls‑Royce models, including the Phantom sedan and Dawn Convertible, remains exceptionally strong.
Following the debut of the Rolls-Royce Spectre in October, the pre-order bank for the ultra-luxury electric super coupé has exceeded the company’s most ambitious expectations. First client deliveries will take place in the fourth quarter of 2023.
“2022 has been a momentous year for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Not only did we reveal Rolls‑Royce Spectre, our marque’s first ever fully-electric series model to the world.” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
“But as a true House of Luxury, sales are not our sole measure of success: we are not and never will be a volume manufacturer. Bespoke IS Rolls-Royce, and commissions were also at record levels last year, with our clients’ requests becoming ever more imaginative.”
