The very first GMC Hummer EV SUV with VIN 001 sells for $500K at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction.

All proceeds go to Tread Lightly!, charity group whose mission is to keep America’s outdoor recreation areas beautiful.

While VIN 001 Hummer EV SUV sells for $500k, the first Hummer EV pickup sold for an eye-popping $2.5m in 2021.





The very first 2024 GMC HUMMER EV Edition 1 SUV with VIN 001 has crossed the auction block at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, raising an astounding $500,000.

All proceeds from the sale of VIN 001 of the Hummer EV SUV will go to Tread Lightly!, a charity group whose mission is to keep America’s outdoor recreation areas beautiful and accessible.

“We’re proud to support Tread Lightly! and their mission through the monumental sale of VIN 001 of the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 SUV at Barrett-Jackson,” said Duncan Aldred, global vice president of Buick and GMC.

“We’re honored to start the year off with this donation to a great cause. With the continued support of Barrett-Jackson to make this donation 100 percent a charitable endeavor, proceeds will support Tread Lightly! and their mission of environmental conservation.”





The first Hummer EV SUV boasts a triple-motor all-wheel drive electric system with 830 horsepower, and an estimated 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds. It also has four-wheel steering with a Crab Walk feature and an exclusive Moonshot Green exterior color.

“We can’t thank the GMC brand and Barrett-Jackson enough for this amazing support,” said Matt Caldwell, Executive Director of Tread Lightly!.

“This funding will make numerous trail restorations projects and educational programs possible in areas across the country. These projects are at the heartbeat of what we do as we work to ‘protect the adventure’ for everyone.”

While VIN 001 Hummer EV SUV sells for half a million dollars, the very first Hummer EV pickup was snapped up by an unnamed woman at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction in May 2021 for an eye-popping $2.5 million.
