Pres. Tinubu Approves Inclusion Of Rapid Firefighting Truck Into Presidential Convoy
Tinubu approves inclusion of Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV) into the Presidential Convoy, the first in the history of Nigeria.
Newly introduced RIV will join a presidential motorcade that already includes bulletproof Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and Police vehicles.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the inclusion of Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV), a rapid firefighting mini truck, into the presidential convoy, the first in the history of Nigeria.
The Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Jaji Abdulganiyu disclosed this on Thursday June 15 in Abuja while receiving the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Oluwatoyin Akinade.

Abdulganiyu said :
“Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given the approval to include the Service Rapid Intervention Vehicle in his motorcade. This is the first in the history of Nigeria. ”
Speaking on the achievements of the service, the CGF said:
“We recently completed and commissioned the first Fire House props in West Africa located inside the National Fire Academy Sheda.

“We have just procured 15 Ford Built Rapid Intervention Vehicles, already delivered to the Service awaiting commissioning and deployment. The Rapid Intervention Vehicle is ideal for combating fire during its initial stages.”
Equipped with high-tech features, a Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV) is designed for quick rescue and extinguishing of fire even in the most stressful situations.
The newly introduced Rapid Intervention Vehicle will join a presidential motorcade already includes the bulletproof Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sedan that chauffeurs the president, an ambulance as well Police vehicles.
