Toyota unveils EPU, a battery-electric midsize pickup truck to take on the Ford Maverick.
Toyota said EPU is five-seater battery-powered midsize pickup with a monocoque body.
It measures 199.6 inches long, 75.2 inches wide, and 67.3 inches tall and has a 120-inch wheelbase.
The upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show (October 25-November 5) will host not only the debut of the Toyota Land Cruiser Se – an electric Land Cruiser Concept – but also that of the next-generation mid-size pickup truck concept called EPU.
Toyota said EPU is five-seater battery-powered midsize pickup with a monocoque body, and it measures 199.6 inches long, 75.2 inches wide, and 67.3 inches tall and has a 120-inch wheelbase.

Toyota will reveal more specifications of the Ford Maverick-rivaling EPU midsize pickup truck, including its range and battery-pack when it debuts at the upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show next week.
Here are few details of EPU ahead of debut
“At just over 5 meters long with a double cab design, the EPU’s monocoque structure also allows for a versatile deck space that caters to a broader range of user applications.
“The rear of the cabin links boldly with the deck to accommodate diverse user preferences, supporting a wide range of mobility lifestyles, including outdoor activities.
“BEV quietness is accompanied by packaging with a low center of gravity for superior handling stability and ride comfort”.
