Dodge CEO earlier offered to sell one of 40 Demon 170s originally intended for one of Dodge’s top dealers to the soldier.

A car dealership that was accused of selling a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 custom ordered by an American soldier to another customer says it has fired three of its employees connected with the incident.

According to report, the dealership, Mac Haik Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram in Mississippi, allegedly offered the active-duty soldier’s F8 Green Demon 170 to another customer at an higher price than what they paid for it.

“None of the employees involved in the situation represent our core company values, and that’s why they are no longer with us”, wrote the Mississippi Stellantis dealership in a Facebook posting.

“The GM, Sales Manager, and Salesperson involved were all terminated after the truth came to light. From the CEO of Mac Haik all the way down through the company we believe in taking care of our customers at the highest level, and the NEW GM and team is 100% committed to doing so.”

After the saga came to light, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis offered to sell one of 40 Challenger Demon 170s that was originally intended for one of Dodge’s top dealers to the active-duty U.S. soldier in question.

Just in case the soldier doesn’t want to buy the original car from them anymore, the dealer says that the Demon 170 will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to a charity that the service member chooses.

“We’re donating the WHOLE CAR to charity!! The F8 Green Demon 170 is BACK at the dealership and NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE to anyone besides the original military service member who ordered the car,” the dealer wrote in an update.

“It’s our understanding that Dodge and Jay Leno are going to do something pretty cool for the service member, and our hats are off to them.

“In the event that the original customer decides to take Dodge’s offer and decides to pass on the car, we will be auctioning off the F8 Green Demon 170 the weekend of April 4th and the ENTIRE PRICE OF THE CAR will be donated to a charity of the service member’s choosing.”
