NADDC DG Tours Lanre Shittu Motors Assembly Plant That Produces Trucks, CNG-powered Pickups
NADDC boss commends the level of assembly operation at the Lanre Shittu Motors Assembly plant in Lagos.
During the facility tour, he surveyed the Truck Plant, where trucks are assembled from chassis to a fully built vehicle.
He also inspected the Pickup section of the assembly plant, currently rolling out CNG-powered pickup trucks.
Lanre Shittu Motors (LSM) claims its facility has the capacity to assemble 2500 vehicles annually.


The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, while on official tour of Lanre Shittu Motors (LSM) Plant, commended the level of assembly operation at the facility.
Osanipin’s visit to the LSM assembly plant on Monday July 8th 2024 is part of NADDC’s efforts to support and promote local automotive production/assembling in Nigeria.



Speaking at Lanre Shittu Motors, the NADDC boss, who was delighted with the level of assembly operation at the facility, said :
“As NADDC, we are here to take a view and evaluate their work and also find a solution on a way to give assistance to move further from Semi Knocked Down (SKD) to making Completely Knocked Down (CKD) in the assembly plant here in Lagos NIGERIA”.
During the facility tour, Osanipin extensively surveyed the Truck Plant, where trucks are assembled from chassis to a fully built vehicle. He also inspected the Pickup section of the assembly plant, currently rolling out CNG-powered Pickup trucks in Lagos State.



The Director General emphasized the need for more man power development and after sales services, which according to him are crucial to the sustenance of market demands. He seized the opportunity to express government’s readiness to support and patronize made-in-Nigeria vehicles.
In appreciation, the CEO of Lanre Shittu Motors, Mr Taiwo Shittu thanked the DG and his team for finding time out of his busy schedule to survey the assembly plant, which the company claims has the capacity to assemble 2500 vehicles annually.
