BMW’s Recycling and Dismantling Centre (RDZ) is where preproduction vehicles goes to die after completing their life cycle.
BMW Group’s prototypes and spy test cars are crushed at RDZ once the production vehicles have been unveiled.
Every year, several thousand vehicles from BMW Group’s brand, including Rolls-Royce and Mini, are recycled at the RDZ.






BMW Group’s Recycling and Dismantling Centre (RDZ) near Munich is where preproduction vehicles — all those prototypes and spy test cars — goes to die after completing their life cycle and once the production vehicles has been unveiled.






Every year, several thousand vehicles from the BMW Group’s brand, including Rolls-Royce and Mini, are recycled at the RDZ, where decommissioning has been taking place for 30 years since its opening in 1994.
