The Lagos State Government has announced the official launch of an advanced e-call-up system, which is meticulously designed to manage the movements of trucks and articulated vehicles within the Lekki-Epe Free Trade Zone corridor

In a statement, Hon. Sola Giwa, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, revealed that Ministry of Transportation officials held extensive discussions with key stakeholders ahead of the system’s final unveiling.

Key stakeholders that participated in the discussions included Primacle, Dangote, Lagos Free Trade Zone, Lekki Ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), and the Ibeju-Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

“This collaborative engagement has been pivotal in aligning all parties for the seamless adoption and operationalization of the e-call-up system, symbolizing a collective commitment to this transformative initiative.”

Giwa further confirmed that, under his leadership, the government will oversee the enforcement of traffic regulations and the effective implementation of the e-call-up system to ensure smooth coordination of entry and exit for both wet and dry cargo trucks.
