The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has apprehended a notorious One-Chance syndicate that deploys a painted commercial bus (KSF 56 XL) to rob unsuspecting passengers of their valuables.

The arrest follows a distressing incident involving a female passenger, Miss Bibian Emelifonwu, who was heartlessly ejected her from a moving vehicle after falling victim to the syndicate’s treachery while en route to work earlier in the morning.





During interrogation, he revealed that their modus operandi involved enticing passengers with low fares on the Costain-Ojota route, stealing their belongings, and forcibly ejecting them from the vehicle while in motion.

FAAN Safely Deboards 256 As US-bound United Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Return To Lagos

A United Airlines flight UA613 travelling from Lagos to Washington made a return to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) on Friday January 24th 2025 after experiencing a mid-flight emergency.

The incident left some passengers injured, according to Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), whose rescue team safely deboarded 245 passengers and 11 crew members on board.

“United Airlines aeroplane Boeing 787-800 departed from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, at 23:59 on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Hours later, the aircraft made an air return and landed safely at 03:22 this morning,” FAAN said in a statement.

EFCC Set To Conduct Online Auction Of 891 ‘Forfeited’ Vehicles On January 27th 2025

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that it will conduct an electronic auction of 891 vehicles through its appointed Auctioneers, which it said were forfeited to the Federal Government.

According to the details shared by EFCC, online inspection of the vehicles by members of the public will run between January 20th – 27th 2025 (7 days), while the e-auction exercise will be held on January 27th 2025, between 11 am and 4 pm.

The agency also listed the brand and model of the “forfeited” vehicles as well as the Web Address for the online viewing and Auction of the vehicles. EFCC noted that successful bidders are expected to make full payments within 72 hours (3 days).
