A Truck Barrier At Carter Bridge Knocked Down For The Second Time Within 24 Hours
Articulated container truck knocked down truck barrier at Carter Bridge for the second time within 24 hours.
LASG implemented the erection of truck barriers as part of efforts to forestall incessant articulated vehicle accidents.
Following the continuous damage on the barriers, it warned that offending drivers will face the full wrath of the Law.

An articulated container truck on Wednesday February 5th 2025 knocked down a newly erected truck barrier at Carter Bridge, inward journey Ijora Olopa, Lagos.
According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), that’s the second time that an articulate truck will ram into the truck barrier at Carter Bridge within 24 hours.
“A barrier at Carter Bridge, inward journey Ijora Olopa has been knocked down for the second time within 24 hours,” LAMATA said while announcing traffic diversions.
“To minimize disruptions, traffic has been diverted to the Iddo/Oyingbo route. Traffic Officers are strategically positioned to manage the diverted traffic and ensure a smooth flow.”
It will be recalled that the Lagos State Government implemented the erection of truck barriers as part of efforts to forestall incessant articulated vehicle accidents which have claimed lives on some bridges in the State.
Following the continuous damage on the truck barriers, the Lagos State Government warned that henceforth, any driver who runs into them will face the full wrath of the Law.
