Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Keeps Setting New Marks.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is one of the fastest production cars of all time. During a recent test at the Swedish manufacturer’s headquarters, it set a new world record for the highest speed of a production car achieved in half a mile, which is about 800 meters.

The Rimac Nevera is faster than the Jesko at the start, but once it “gets going”, the Koenigsegg beast is impossible to keep up with.

The Jesko Absolut was driven by a Koenigsegg test driver, and a Dragy GPS tracker was used during the drive. The car set a number of new records last year, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.79 seconds, which is impressive, especially considering that all 1,600 hp is transmitted to the rear wheels.

When Jesko puts all its power to the ground, it accelerates from 100 to 200 km/h in 2.74 seconds, while it takes 3.96 seconds to accelerate from 200 to 300 km/h. The car covers a distance of 402 meters in 8.88 seconds when it reaches a speed of 291 km/h. It covers the half mile in 13.27 seconds and reaches a speed of 359.83 km/h, which is “slightly” a new world record.

Christian von Koenigsegg posted the video on Instagram, and perhaps the most interesting thing it shows is how well-programmed the launch control system is. With so much power being transferred to the asphalt through just the rear wheels, you would expect the Jesko to launch in a cloud of smoke from burning tires, but the car launched with almost no wheel spin.
