Dozens of police motorcycles escort white hearse ferrying slain NYPD police officer, Didarul Islam.
Didarul was one of four people killed in a mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan last week Monday.
Known for their skill, over 100 NYPD motorcycle officers escorted the white hearse carrying the remains of the police.
Following behind these motorcycle officers were over 3 dozens NYPD fleet comprising SUVs, trucks and ambulances.
All vehicles equipped with amplified low-frequency Federal Signal rumbler sirens as well as red and blue flashing lights.



Dozens of motorcycle officers from New York City Police Department (NYPD) led the way during the funeral procession of Police Officer Didarul Islam, whose life was tragically cut short last week Monday.
An immigrant from Bangladesh, the 36 year old was was one of four people killed in a mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan. He left behind a wife, two young sons and a third child on the way.



During his funeral service on Thursday, a white hearse carrying the remains of the police travelled down the speedway escorted by over 100 NYPD motorcycle officers known for their skill and often called motormen.
Following behind these motorcycle officers were over 3 dozens NYPD fleet comprising SUVs, trucks and ambulances – all equipped with amplified low-frequency Federal Signal rumbler sirens as well as red and blue flashing lights.



“Everything for him was about building something for his family, for his mosque, for his adopted city and for his relatives back in Bangladesh. They were all in his care, and he found peace in watching them grow,” NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said during the funeral service.
“His watch may be over, but his impact will never be. If there is any grace to be found in this grief, it is knowing that the light that he carried did not go out. It just moved forward, and it shines within the family that he worked so hard to build,” Tisch adds.
