Stellantis Recalls Over 50,000 Vehicles Over Water Pump Issues

Stellantis, owner of the Chrysler brand, is recalling 53,849 vehicles in the United States due to possible problems with fuel pumps, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced.
The recall affects certain 2017 and 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia models, as well as the 2018 and 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. As stated, the fuel pumps in these vehicles may contain heat-sensitive components, which can lead to reduced fuel flow, sudden loss of power, and increased risk of accidents, reports Reuters.
The solution to the problem is still in the development phase, and the owners will be notified in writing about the revocation by October 29.
This is not the first recall case for Stellantis in recent times. In early September, the company recalled about 92,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles in the US due to a software bug in the hybrid control processor, which could have caused a loss of drive.
Last week, NHTSA launched an investigation into about 287,000 2017 and 2018 Chrysler Pacifica minivans for potential problems with the electric power steering.
