All-new One-off Ferrari SC40 Pays Homage To The Legendary F40 From The 1990s
All-new one-off Ferrari SC40 created for a special client pays homage to the legendary limited-edition F40 from the 1990s.
The mid-rear-engined V6 takes its architecture, chassis and powertrain from the current 296 GTB supercar.
Powering the SC40 is an hybrid set that puts out 819 hp, which allows 0-62 mph in 2.9 secs, a top-speed of 205 mph.

Ferrari has unveiled the all-new one-off SC40 – the Italian marque’s latest tailor-made supercar designed by Ferrari’s Styling Centre and built around the desires of an unnamed client.
While it takes its architecture, chassis and powertrain from the 296 GTB, the mid-rear-engined V6’s name pays tribute to the limited-edition F40 supercar produced between 1987 and 1992 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ferrari.

Painted in bespoke SC40 White, the new one-off boasts a headlights placed at the outer corners, a side view dominated by the intercooler air intakes while the V6 engine is showcased through distinctive, smoked Lexan louvres.
In addition, a SC40” script is engraved in relief on the side of the wing – a clear homage to the iconic F40, though Ferrari said the “goal was not to create a literal reinterpretation, but rather a model with its own distinct personality”.

Its F40-inspired interior boasts carbon-Kevlar – a distinctive material that is used for the steering wheel, some dashboard inserts and the luggage compartment.
Also, the upholstery features a combination of Charcoal Alcantara and a red Jacquard technical fabric, while the headrests and seats gets a Prancing Horse and woven SC40 logo respectively.

The 296 GTB-based SC40 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 654 horsepower on its own and up to 819 hp with an electric motor, which allows the 296 to sprint from zero to 62 in 2.9 seconds and reach a top-speed of 205 mph.
While Ferrari didn’t say how much client payed for the SC40, the marque noted that the entire process for new one-off takes around two years on average. But it is okay to say that the SC40 will cost far more than the 2025 296 GTB, which starts at $346,950 and goes up to $379,950.
