Lady Forced Officials Of Lagos State Parking Authority To Release Her ‘Unlawfully Clamped Car’

Lady forced officials of Lagos State Parking Authority to release her ‘unlawfully clamped car’ parked at car park.
Video shared shows LASPA officials taking a wheel clamp off her car tyre, meaning she was likely fined for an offence she never committed.
A Nigerian lady has called out officials of the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) who allegedly clamped her car that was reportedly parked in a safe parking lot along Allen Avenue, Ikeja.
To prove she hasn’t flouted any parking rules of the state, the lady made a video evidence to show that the car was clamped while been parked in front of a parking lot.
After a while, officials of LASPA arrived the scene to take the wheel clamp off her car tyre, which means the lady was likely fined and punished for an offence she never committed.

The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) had earlier revealed plans to create additional Vehicle Parking Lane Markings in selected locations across the State, in a move geared towards improving the parking system in Lagos State.
While speaking on the planned initiative, GM of LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu stated that designated streets within Surulere, Ikoyi, Lekki, Obalende, Ikeja and V.I will experience this development as the Authority is set to improve street parking from 2023.
Adelabu noted that the Parking Lane Markings will further guide motorists and pedestrians on appropriate parking regulations and spaces, minimise indiscriminate parking, confusion and uncertainty.
According to LASPA boss, the lane markings will also include special consideration for people living with disabilities and signposts for parking directives, among other features.
