The 2026 RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction delivered record-setting results, headlined by the first production 2026 Ferrari Luce ‘Tailor Made’ “Chassis 0,” which fetched a record-breaking price of $40 million to become the most expensive new car ever sold.

High-value sales of classic race cars—including a 1996 McLaren F1 GTR for $34.655 million and a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport for $18,705,000—as well as the Driver’s Philosophy Collection for $53,359,500, drove the high-octane weekend to a total of $375,887,800 across three nights..
