Ahead of December 8 reveal, Mercedes-Benz gives first glimpse inside all-new GLB while undergoing cold-weather testing.

Ongoing cold-weather testing will allow engineers to examine functions of components in extreme sub-zero temperatures.

Available as a 5- and 7-seater, the all-new GLB will arrive with a large panoramic roof designed to protect against solar radiation.

Ahead of its world premiere on 8 December 2025, Mercedes-Benz has given us the first glimpse inside the all-new 2026 GLB SUV, which is currently completing intensive cold-weather testing at the Mercedes Technology Center (MTC) in Sindelfingen, Germany.

Mercedes-Benz said the ongoing cold-weather testing will allow engineers to examine the functions of components such as the windscreen wipers and heat pump in extreme sub-zero temperatures that is as low as –40°C.

Thanks to its innovative heat pump, the marque, while sharing the interior of next-gen SUV, said the interior of the new GLB heats twice as fast as its predecessor during 320‑minute drive at an outside temperature of -7 degrees Celsius.

At the state-of-the-art climatic wind tunnels at MTC, where temperature ranges between -40 to +60 degrees Celsius, almost every weather condition can be simulated all year round. In other photos shared, the exterior of all-new GLB was seen covered in snow.

In the so-called “Hot Road” in the heat tunnel, Mercedes-Benz said temperature can be adjusted between +50 and +70 degrees Celsius to simulate road surface on a scorching summer day.

Available as a five- and seven-seater, the all-new 2026 GLB will arrive with a large panoramic roof fitted with heat-insulating laminated safety glass and infrared-reflecting coating to protect occupants against solar radiation in summer.
