Moment Dangote Arrived In Mercedes-Maybach SUV To Sign $1B Investment Deal In Zimbabwe

Dangote chauffeured in Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 luxury SUV during his trip to Zimbabwe.

Designed to rival the Cullinan and Bentayga, the GLS 600 is the brand’s first mass-produced SUV to wear the Maybach badge.

On the outside, there is a Maybach-grille, Maybach logos and the Mercedes-Benz star on the hood.

Open the rear-doors and the SUV lowers itself, swings out an illuminated running boards to make for a more graceful entry or exit.

Nigerian businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, met with Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Wednesday at the State House, where he signed an investment agreement worth $1 billion with the government.

During his visit to the southern African country, the flagship Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 ultra-luxury SUV was the choice of car used to chauffeur the Nigerian-born Africa’s richest man.

In a trending video online seen by Autojosh, Dangote was seen alighting from the rear doors of the “Maybach of SUVs”, following his arrival at the State House in Harare.

The video follows an earlier photo showing Zimbabwean media personality, Josey Mahachi, posing for a selfie with the Nigerian billionaire while seated at the rear-passenger seat of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV

Designed to compete against the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV arrived back in 2019 as the brand’s first mass-produced SUV to wear the luxury Maybach badge.

Standard luxury interior features include heated and ventilated massage seats, an electronic panoramic sliding sunroof with an opaque roller blind and seven-inch tablets. Rear-seat options includes fixed center console, a folding table and a refrigerator.
