Mercedes To Launch Dozens Of New Models By 2027, Including A “Baby G-Class”
Mercedes-Benz announces its biggest ever product launch with dozens of new or refreshed models by 2027.
Mercedes once again confirmed that a smaller, more affordable version of its legendary G-Class is on the way.
Just like the latest-gen G-Class, the new baby SUV will reportedly arrive with a choice of gas-powered and electric setups.
Many of the upcoming new or facelifted models have already spied testing, including the refreshed S-Class.

On Capital Markets Day 2025 dedicated to the 2024 financial results, Mercedes-Benz once again confirmed that a smaller, more affordable version of its legendary Mercedes-Benz G-Class (popularly known as G-Wagon) is on the way.
“The legendary G-Class family will be expanded with a new smaller version,” Mercedes-Benz said in a statement, while unveiling its range renewal plan that includes 12 new or facelifted models by 2027, many of which have already spied testing, including the refreshed S-Class.

“As the custodians of this iconic brand we ensure that Mercedes-Benz continues leveraging its full potential. We’re launching the company’s biggest ever product and tech campaign and a comprehensive performance enhancement programme,” said
Ola Kaellenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
Ola Kallenius first confirmed in 2023 that a “little” G-Class is in the works after German-language business newspaper, Handelsblatt, reported an upcoming baby G-Class may arrive, possibly in 2026, citing inside sources.
“We have something in store for G fans around the world… there will be a little G, kind of the daughter or son of the big G,” Ola Kallenius told CNBC following the reveal of the Concept CLA-Class at the 2023 Munich Motor Show.
Just like the latest-gen G-Class, the new baby SUV will reportedly arrive with a choice of gas-powered and electric setups, with reports indicating the baby G-Class will provide more than 310 miles of range on a single charge.
