Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) rewards cleaner for returning $10,000 found in aircraft.

Dankode was assigned to clean an Egypt Air aircraft at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport when he found the money.

As a reward for his honesty, he was given double promotion, handsome cash reward and appointed a brand ambassador of NAHCO.

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) has rewarded a staff of the company, Mr. Auwal Dankode, who found and returned $10,000 (about N16 million) while cleaning an aircraft in Kano.

At an appreciation reception held at the company’s headquarters at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, the GMD/CEO, Mr. Indranil Gupta, praised his honesty and integrity, noting that his actions serve as a shining example for others.

“We are truly proud of the exemplary character exhibited by Auwal. He is a true NAHCO ambassador and an embodiment of what NAHCO stands for, honesty, integrity, diligence and hard work.” said Gupta.

As a reward for his honesty, the company said Mr. Dankode was given double promotion, handsome cash reward and appointed a brand ambassador of NAHCO.





Dankode was assigned to clean an Egypt Air MS 878 passenger aircraft at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) when he found the money on seat No. 25H.

“He promptly turned the money over to the airline’s Station Manager,” according to a statement by the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO).
