Nigerian car dealer shows off Huawei-backed Stelato S9 luxury sedan with 32-inch screen for rear seat passengers.
Jointly developed by Huawei and BAIC, the Stelato S9 is currently available in two variants : the RWD (Max) and AWD (Ultra).
Huawei-backed 2025 Stelato S9 Luxury sedan is designed to rival the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8, BMW 7 Series.
It is priced between $46,000 and $76,000 and over N200 million in Nigeria, according to Abuja-based car dealer, Sarkin.
Abuja-based car dealer, Aliyu Mohammed, popularly known as Sarkin, has given us a tour of the interior features of the all-new Huawei-backed 2025 Stelato S9 luxury sedan that is currently on sale.
Jointly developed by Huawei and Chinese brand BAIC, the Stelato S9 sedan is currently available in two variants : the RWD (Max) and AWD (Ultra) – with both powered by a single-motor and dual-motor respectively.
On the outside, it ditches the conventional side mirrors for a digital Side-View Monitor. The S9 features Huawei’s xPixel adaptive headlights with DRLs and taillights with a customizable star motif and a lightbar design.
Inside, it comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.6-inch central infotainment touchscreen running on Huawei’s Harmony OS 4 operating system and a dual 50-watt wireless charging pads on the center console.
Other highlights at the rear include a zero-gravity reclining seats, a 13.2-inch tablet mounted on the armrest to control the climate and infotainment features as well as an optional 32-inch retracting ceiling-mounted projector system.
Both Max and Ultra versions are equipped with 100kWh battery-pack, which enables an electric drive of 816 km (507 miles) and 721 km (448 miles) per single charge respectively.
Due to its 800-volt electrical architecture, the battery-pack is capable of adding up to 816 km (507 miles) of range within 5 minutes of recharging with a DC fast charger.
The Stelato S9 is available in both pure electric and range-extender powertrains – the latter equipped with Huawei’s Xuexiao system consisting of with a BAIC 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four.
The range-extender variant is equipped with a choice of two CATL-supplied battery packs : a 37 kWh LFP pack or a 53.4 kWh NMC pack, providing providing 256 km (159 mi) and 365 km (227 mi) of electric range respectively.
