Official Car of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Adeolu Egbetokun – A bulletproof Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series II SUV.
Egbetokun was appointed as the 22nd Inspector General of Police (IGP) on 19 June 2023, replacing Usman Alkali Baba (2021–2023).
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reaffirmed the dedication of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) under his leadership to emplacing measures to prevent crimes and criminality across the country.
Since his appointment as the 22nd Inspector General of Police (IGP) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr Egbetokun has bolstered the fight against all forms of violent crimes across the country.
Despite facing considerable challenges, including terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery, IGP Egbetokun said that the Nigeria Police Force has remained resilient and dedicated to its mandate.
To help fight crimes, the NPF, under the leadership of Egbetokun, has acquired and commissioned new operational assets, including patrol vehicles, Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones) and Gun trucks etc.
Through the e-CMR platform, the Nigerian Police Force also recovered a total of 1,519 stolen vehicles nationwide in 2024 as well as 1,540 vehicles during 365 days of of Egbetokun’s tenure.
Official Vehicle
Mr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun was appointed as the 22nd Inspector General of Police (IGP) on 19 June 2023, replacing Usman Alkali Baba (2021–2023) as the head of the Nigeria Police Force.
Egbetokun past appointment includes the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the then-elected governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, who is now the President of Nigeria.
As the most senior officer in the police service, the 61 year old IGP goes to his official duties in his official vehicle, a bulletproof Toyota Land Cruiser 300 SUV – known for its ruggedness and off-road capabilities.
