The last two winners, Asake (2023) and BNXN (2022), went home with Mercedes-Benz G-Class and a Bentley Bentayga respectively.

Recipients of the Next Rated honor are presented with a SUV at a later date, in addition to the award plaque presented at the award ceremony.

Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, known professionally as Odumodublvck, has called out the organizers of The Headies (formerly Hip Hop World Awards) over the unfulfilled Car Prize Gift he won three months ago.

Known for wearing the Okpu-Agu hat traditionally worn by warriors in Igbo land, Odumodublvck, a member of the hip-hop collective Anti World Gangstars, emerged the ‘Next Rated Artiste’ winner at 2024 edition of the 16th Headies Award held in April 2025.

“I DON FORGET SAY I WIN CAR ?

HEADIES WEY MY CAR?”, Odumodublvck wrote on his official X handle.

First presented in 2006 to French-Nigerian singer and songwriter, Bukola Elemide, known professionally as Aṣa, recipients of the Next Rated honor are presented with a SUV at a later date, in addition to the award plaque presented at the award ceremony.

While Odumodublvck didn’t mention the name of the brand and model he won, the last two winners of the award, Asake (2023) and BNXN (2022), went home with brand new Mercedes-Benz G-Class and a Bentley Bentayga SUV respectively.
