Secret Service Shows Off Hundreds Of Armored SUVs Deployed Into Motorcades During UN General Assembly

Secret Service shows off hundreds of armored Chevrolet Suburban SUVs deployed during the UN General assembly.

During the 2025 assembly, several armored Chevrolet SUVs were deployed into the motorcades used to ferry around dignitaries.

These fleet of SUVs are outfitted with ballistic protection and electronic countermeasures to counter threats.

Last month, the agents of the United States Secret Service (Secret Service) were on hand to protect the U.S President Donald Trump and other world leaders and diplomats that attended the United Nations (UN) General Assembly meetings in New York.

During the 2025 assembly, the Secret Service deployed dozens of armored Chevrolet Suburban SUVs into the motorcades used to ferry around dignitaries and their families to the UN meetings and around the city.

Following the event, the agency, which has protected U.S. presidents and families since 1901, posted a secret garage where its hundreds of armored SUVs are housed, maintained and deployed to protect both national and visiting world leaders.

“During the United Nations General Assembly, our agency is responsible for moving hundreds of world leaders through the city safely. This requires numerous people working together to inspect every vehicle, plan each route and coordinate every movement down to the second,” the agency wrote in a video posted to its social media pages.

Fitted with tinted windows and emergency lights, these fleet of purpose-built Chevrolet Suburban SUVs are also outfitted with ballistic protection and electronic countermeasures designed to counter threats like ambushes and attacks.

During the 80th assembly, the Secret Service worked in partnership with other law enforcement, including Homeland Security investigations (HSI), New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
