Canadian armoring specialists, INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing, in collaboration with VinFast, Vietnam’s pioneering electric automaker, has unveiled its latest creation called the Lạc Hồng 900 LX.

Specially designed for heads of state, corporate leaders and high-security clients, the fully electric armored SUV is engineered to meet some of the highest international standards for ballistic and blast protection.

Lạc Hồng 900 LX is VPAM VR7-certified, providing high-level ballistic protection against rifle fire and armor-piercing threats. It can also withstand the simultaneous detonation of two DM51 hand grenades beneath critical areas of the floor.

INKAS said that this ambitious R&D project was brought to completion within an accelerated timeline, “overcoming obstacles that many industry experts believed unachievable under such conditions”.

According to INKAS, the Lạc Hồng 900 LX successfully withstood over 400 laser-guided rounds during live ballistic testing that focuses on the entire armored vehicle, including seams, pillars, and door joints.

“This project underscores the strength of our R&D capabilities and our ability to deliver cutting-edge armored EV solutions,” said David Khazanski, CEO of INKAS.

“Working directly with VinFast as an OEM partner allowed us to integrate our protective technologies seamlessly into the Lạc Hồng 900 LX. Achieving full VPAM certification within such a compressed timeline highlights our team’s ability to execute complex R&D projects with speed and precision.”
