Initial two Peugeot-branded vehicles based on Concept 6 and Concept 8 will be sold in both China and global markets.
The plan also includes the initial production of two Jeep-branded off-road-ready SUVs for global markets.
Stellantis is “expected to contribute approximately 130 million euros” from the combined investment of $1.18 billion.

Stellantis and China’s state-owned Dongfeng Group have expanded their 34-year partnership with a $1.18 billion agreement to produce Peugeot and Jeep models in China for the Chinese market and for sales worldwide.
As part of the strategic cooperation agreement, the Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile (DPCA) joint venture (JV) will initially produce two all-new Peugeot-branded new energy vehicles at its Wuhan plant, from 2027.

The initial two all-new Peugeot-branded vehicles will be based on new Concept 6 And Concept 8 unveiled by Peugeot at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. The two vehicles will be sold in both China and global markets “as part of Peugeot’s international growth plan”.
The plan also includes the initial production of two Jeep-branded off-road new energy vehicles (NEVs) for global markets at its Wuhan plant starting in 2027, according to a statement on Friday.

Stellantis said that this project corresponds to a combined investment of over 8 billion Chinese Yuan (approximately 1 billion euros/$1.18 billion), of which it is “expected to contribute approximately 130 million euros.”
“With a track record of more than 30 years of collaboration and shared automotive expertise, Stellantis and Dongfeng are ready to further leverage their strengths and introduce all-new vehicles with cutting-edge EV technologies from brands that customers worldwide trust and love,” said Antonio Filosa, Stellantis CEO.
