Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria begins production of new Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models at Kaduna Plant
New models will further extend the brand’s offering to local customers, joining the Peugeot Landtrek – a pickup truck.
Offered in Allure and flagship GT trims, the new 3008 and 5008 range are powered by a 1.6‑litre THP petrol engine.

Peugeot’s parent company, Stellantis, has announced the start of production of the new Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models at DPAN (Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited) greenfields plant at Kaduna.
When the first vehicles go on sale this month, these two new models will further extend the brand’s offering to local customers, joining the Peugeot Landtrek – a pickup truck that is already on sale in Nigeria.

Offered in Allure and top‑of‑the‑range GT trims, the new Peugeot 3008 and 5008 range are powered by a 1.6‑litre THP petrol engine developing 163 hp, paired with the EAT6 automatic transmission.

“Nigeria is one of the two biggest economies in Africa and helping create a local and sustainable automotive industry is part of the actualization of the African Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)” said Michael Whitfield, Stellantis South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa Managing Director.
“We are happy to continue the work with Dangote Industries and believe the arrival of the new products will cater to the needs of our Nigerian customers”.

DPAN was established six years ago through a joint venture between Dangote Industries Limited and PEUGEOT – one of the flagship brands within the Stellantis portfolio – as a commitment to local manufacturing.
Commenting on the start of production, DPAN commercial director, Umar Kaita, said :
“PEUGEOT was a household name in Nigeria from the 1940s to the 1980s and this local production will see the re-emergence of the (PEUGEOT) Lion in the Nigerian landscape once again.”
