The BMW iX3 To Get An Affordable Model
After the powerful BMW iX3 50 xDrive, the first car on the Neue Klasse platform, a new, more affordable version is now coming to European markets. The BMW iX3 40 has rear-wheel drive and the sixth generation of BMW’s eDrive technology.
The battery has a net capacity of 82.6 kWh, giving it a WLTP range of up to 628 km. So far from being some modest entry-level model, the iX3 40 has serious range.
Consumption is declared from 14.7 to 15.2 kWh per 100 km. The BMW iX3 40 can be charged at up to 300 kW at a compatible fast charger. The electric motor produces 320 hp and 500 Nm.
It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the top speed is 200 km/h.
In Germany, the iX3 40 costs 63,400 euros, which is about seven thousand euros less than the iX3 50 xDrive model with all-wheel drive, a range of more than 800 km and 469 hp.
