The Fastest EV On The Nürburgring Is The Extreme Chinese Supercar (Video)
The Yangwang U9 stands as a true marvel of engineering, boasting the title of the most powerful and fastest car on the planet. With its sleek, aerodynamic design and cutting-edge technology, it has now etched its name in history as the fastest electric car to conquer the twisting and treacherous roads of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This extraordinary feat showcases not only its blistering speed but also the relentless pursuit of perfection in electric vehicle performance.
The insane Yangwang U9 Xtreme is breaking into the record books in more and more ways. The extra-powerful version of BYD’s Yangwang U9, limited to just thirty units, is the world’s most powerful production car with 3,020 hp and, with a top speed of 496.22 km/h (300 mph), can also call itself the world’s fastest car. The Chinese supercar now adds another record to that list. The Yangwang U9 Xtreme is also the fastest electric car on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
The Yangwang U9 Xtreme, also known as the U9X, completed a lap of the nearly 21-kilometre-long Nürburgring-Nordschleife in 6 minutes and 59.157 seconds. This electro-extremist dethrones the 1,914-hp Rimac Nevera. That EV lapped the circuit in about 7 minutes and 5 seconds. A true champion.
