The Latest Version Of Audi A6 L Has Been Launched For The Chinese Market

Audi has also prepared an extended L version of the new generation A6 sedan for the Chinese market.
The new Audi A6L is 5142 mm long, 1887 mm wide, and 1464 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3066 mm. The global A6 sedan is more compact: it is 4999 mm long, 1880 mm wide, and 1418 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2927 mm.
The extended rear doors are the most obvious indicator that this is no ordinary A6, but Audi has also made a few minor design changes up front. The grille gets a revised inner pattern, while a thin LED strip frames the illuminated Audi emblem.
The car sits on unique 21-inch alloy wheels that Audi says are designed to “reflect an Eastern aesthetic.”
Inside, the A6L relies heavily on comfort, especially for rear-seat passengers. The cabin has new seats, developed with comfort in mind for long journeys.
The interior features three screens: an 11.9-inch instrument panel, a 14.5-inch infotainment system, and a 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger. 3D head-up is also available. The voice assistant is designed specifically for the local market and offers fast response times.
Overhead is a huge 1.96 square meter panoramic sunroof, with 112 RGB LEDs that add adaptive ambient lighting after dark. There is also a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
In terms of safety, the A6L is equipped with 33 sensors, including dual LiDAR units, along with Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving technology. In addition to 28 ADAS features, the sedan includes 7+2 airbags and semi-hidden door handles with “double electromechanical protection.”
Chinese buyers will be able to choose between a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 204 hp or 272 hp and a V6 engine with 367 hp and standard four-wheel drive.
The long-wheelbase sedan is also available with four-wheel steering, along with air suspension that can adjust the ride height by 30mm.
The new A6L in China starts at 323,000 yuan ($47,000) for the base model with a 2.0-liter engine driving the front wheels. At the other end is the 3.0-liter V6 quattro version, which tops out at 436,000 yuan ($63,400).
Compared to the previous A6L, which first arrived in 2018 and was refreshed in 2022, the new model is 104,900 yuan ($15,300) cheaper. It’s also well below the price of the A8L, which currently starts at 789,800 yuan ($114,900).
