Theft Of Lexus Side Mirror On The Rise In Lagos, Another Dispatch Rider Caught Stealing From LX

Theft of Lexus Side Mirror on the rise in Lagos after another dispatch rider was caught on CCTV stealing from LX SUV.
Netizens said that the same tactics have been used by dispatch riders to steal Lexus side mirror in recent times.
A Twitter user noted that the thief comes with an unbranded dispatch bike to steal mostly Lexus side mirror.
Video shared shows the moment a dispatch rider was caught on CCTV stealing the side-view mirror of Lexus LX 570 SUV that was parked by the road side around Obafemi Awolowo road in Lagos.
Footage of theft was first posted to Twitter handle of Jubril Gawat, the media aide of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Gawat tweeted :
“Alaye Dispatch Rider removing and stealing side mirror of a Lexus Jeep today around Awolowo Road captured … Mr Dispatch rider, is this part of ur work ???”.
Reacting to Gawat’s tweet, a user with the handle, Wizard of Oz, said that the same tactics was used to steal his boss’ Lexus side mirror on same Awolowo road.
“I am sure he was the one that stole my boss’s side mirror on same Awolowo road around March same car same tactic”
“It happened opposite the FRSC on Awolowo Rd and the only eyewitness said he saw a dispatch guy moving round the car.”
Another user, Incredible Alex, said :
“It is definitely him, I can assure you, he stole from 2 separate Lexus on 2 separate occasions in front of our store in Lekki, our camera captured it but was not sharp enough.
He uses the exact tactics. He stole from other buildings on our street also.”
Incredible Alex, who later tagged Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, noted that the thief/thieves come with unbranded dispatch bikes.
“Please let’s all take note of this guy. He comes with an unbranded dispatch bike to steal mostly Lexus side mirror glasses.
“He stole same more than 4 times on our street. He wears a red helmet and limps. HMV had several reports of this same guy in the past months.”
