Price? This 55 year old Mercedes-Benz W111 280 SE 3.5 is selling for nearly a billion naira — N800 million to be precise, according to Ola of Lagos, who shared a review about the classic car on his Instagram page.
“This Classic 1969 Mercedes Benz W111 280 SE at @centurionautosng is selling for 800M Naira ? Tag who you think should buy it ? It’s plenty!!!”
As seen from the rear badge, this 280 SE is powered by 3.5-liter M116 V8 engine, which allows the 200 horsepower Coupe to reach a remarkable top speed of 205 km/h (127 mph) and a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) at 9.5 seconds.
Road & Track recently described an example that also came up for sale as follows : “One of the best-looking body designs to come from any German concern. With its beautiful design and exceptional proportions, this series is an instant classic”.
