UK-based Towing Company, Recovery North West, now using robots to impound illegally parked cars.

After picking up illegally parked vehicles, this remote-controlled robot delivers its load into a nearby recovery truck.

This motorized robot is called the Eastract, and the maker described it as a combination of a tow truck and forklift.

Powered by a 35-horsepower Briggs and Stratton engine, the robot can lift heavy weight up to 5,500 pounds.

UK-based towing company, Recovery North West, which specializes in towing stranded vehicles and recovery of parking violators, have deployed a new motorized robot that hunts down illegally parked vehicles.

Footage shared shows the tank-tracked towing robot lifting off an illegally parked Volvo XC60 SUV that weighs up to 1865kg (4111 pounds) from a ‘Disabled Parking Spot’ in Liverpool, England.

This motorized robot is called the Eastract, and it is made by France-based Multitract, which describes it as a combination of a tow truck and forklift. Powered by a 35-hp Briggs and Stratton engine, Multitract notes that the robot can lift heavy weight up to 5,500 pounds.
