HiPhi Y Launches In China With Up To 503-miles Of Range, To Be Available In Other Markets
Chinese startup launches HiPhi Y in China with up to 503-miles electric range, to be available in other markets.
Comes with unique falcon-wing door system designed to allow easy access to the rear seats.
HiPhi Y will be offered in four trim levels and available in two battery pack options of 76.6 kWh and 115 kWh.
HiPhi, the premium electric vehicle brand of Shanghai-based Human Horizons Technology, has officially launched the HiPhi Y Crossover SUV into the Chinese market, just few days after making its European public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The HiPhi’s Y electric Crossover, the Chinese brand’s third model, joins the larger X SUV and Z sedan. While the X and Z will be available in the European market later this year, the HiPhi Y will launch there in 2024.
HiPhi Y comes with unique 2nd-generation NT intelligent falcon-wing door system designed to allow easy access to the rear seats. While the frameless doors open conventionally, the gullwing-style portion of the roof opens upwards.
The HiPhi Y’s LuxTech cabin features 17-inch OLED center display plus a 15-inch HD touch screen for passengers, and a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster for the driver.
Standard features inside the SUV includes Meridian sound system, 9.2-inch streaming media rearview mirror and a 22.9-inch high-definition colorful head-up display.
Priced between 339,000 yuan ($47,200) and 449,000 yuan ($62,500), the new HiPhi Y will be offered in four trim levels. Buyers will be able to choose from two battery pack options of 76.6 kWh and 115 kWh.
The single-motor RWD version will produce 331 hp while the dual-motor AWD will produce a more impressive 498 hp. Depending on the configuration, the HiPhi Y will have electric range between 560 km (348 miles) and 810 km (503 miles).
