A personal collection of 20 limited-edition McLarens hypercars and sports cars valued at more than £50 million ($70 million) owned by Mansour Akram Ojjeh, a French Saudi Arabian-born entrepreneur, is being offered for sale.
The upcoming sale follows the death of Mansour Ojjeh, an influential shareholder of McLaren Group, whose assets include McLaren Automotive and the McLaren Formula One team, who passed away at 68 in 2021.
Featuring Mansour’s own emblem instead of McLaren’s badges and finished in the same bespoke ‘Mansour Orange’ colour, the 20-car collection dubbed “Mansour Ojjeh Collection” are all final chassis of each limited-edition British-made models.
The 20-car collection features a host of barely driven iconic McLaren models like the Speedtail, P1, Senna, 765LT, Elva, and a super-rare Sabre – all in special variants like the Longtail and Le Mans (LM).
But the ‘jewel in the crown’ is the McLaren F1 (one of only 106 examples), which has just 1100 miles (1,810-km) on the odometer and a P1 GTR that is used occasionally on McLaren-exclusive track days.
Handling the sale of these McLaren collection is Derbyshire-based classic car dealer, Tom Hartley Jnr, who was appointed by Ojjeh’s family to find one very wealthy buyer.
“I’m incredibly proud to announce that we’ve been entrusted with the sale of the world’s greatest collection of McLaren road cars, offered directly from the home of one of the most influential figures in McLaren’s 62-year history,” said Hatley Jr.
“Mansour Ojjeh was a pivotal figure in the world of motorsport, celebrated for his visionary role in transforming McLaren into one of Formula 1’s most iconic and successful teams.”
“To call Mansour a legend is an understatement. He was not only a hugely influential figure in F1 but also deeply respected by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and I’m truly honoured that his family has entrusted my business with the sale of this unmatched collection.”
