VW Tiguan Celebrates 20 Years And A New Edition 20 Model Will be Launched

Before we are accused of falsifying history, formally speaking, the Volkswagen Tiguan will only turn twenty next year. After all, the unveiling was at the end of June 2007. However, Volkswagen is kicking off the celebrations now, and in a sense, the Tiguan story actually began back in 2006 with the Volkswagen Tiguan Concept. That already turned out to bear a strong resemblance to the production version. By now, we are not only nearly two decades but also several model generations further along. The third and current Tiguan appeared in 2024, and it now has the honor of celebrating the anniversary as Edition 20.

The Volkswagen Tiguan Edition 20 is characterized by, among other things, a copper-like paint color named Maple Red Metallic. Edition 20 logos are also visible everywhere, such as on the door sill plates and the steering wheel, and are projected onto the ground from the door. Furthermore, the Tiguan Edition 20 features an abundance of black accents and 19-inch ‘Coventry’ wheels. The special edition will be available in combination with the 204 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain. Prices to be announced.
