Mercedes has announced the pricing for the new-generation 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class unveiled last November as the pinnacle of the new luxury saloon range.
The all-new extra-long Maybach variant of the S-Class is specially designed to compete with the likes of Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost.
At $184,900, the new Maybach costs $11,900 more than the previous-generation model and a hefty $68,600 over the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class. This price excludes destination charges as well as local taxes in Nigeria.
Compared to the standard S-Class, the Maybach version has been stretched by 7 inches to offer more space and premium features for rear-seat occupants.
Features on the outside includes its unique Maybach badges and two-tone paintjob, unique grille and bumpers, as well as bespoke wheels.
Inside, standard features includes 5 display screens; including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster; a new 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen and 1,750-watt Burmester audio system.
Executive Rear Seat Plus packages includes two folding tables and two temperature-controlled cupholders. There are also an illuminated stowage compartment with 12V socket, two additional USB ports and two HDMI ports.
Safety features in the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 includes adaptive cruise control; active steering and lane-change assist, lane-keep assist; automatic emergency braking, and active blind-spot warnings.
